I did a day cruise on the Carl Vinson back in 1988, when it was fairly new. We sailed out from Hunter’s Point in the SF Bay Area, under the Bay Bridge, then under the Golden Gate, and then 15 miles out to sea, where they did an airshow. It was amazing. I was on the deck as we went under both bridges.
